Withdrawal of Manuscript

Authors are not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts, because in the submission process there is an agreement that this article is not in/is being reviewed/late to be published in another journal, besides that it has also wasted the editor's and/or reviewer's valuable time. Editors and reviewers have spent a lot of time processing submitted manuscripts, costs and work invested by the publisher.

If the author still requests a withdrawal of his/her manuscript while the manuscript is still in the peer-review process, the author will be fined by paying IDR 1,500,000, - per manuscript, as a withdrawal penalty to the publisher. However, it is unethical to withdraw a manuscript sent from one journal if it is accepted by another journal. Withdrawal of a manuscript after the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author will be fined by paying IDR 2,500,000, - per manuscript. Withdrawal of a manuscript is only allowed after the withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the Publisher.

If the author does not agree to pay the fine, the author and his/her affiliates will be blacklisted from publication in the DESILES journal.
