Section Policies

The Editorial Team of SYNERGIE: Journal of Community Service in Fashion and Business recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and therefore establishes the following policy stating specific actions (penalties) if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in SYNERGIE Journal.

Definition

Plagiarism is an intentional or unintentional act in obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or value for a scientific work, by citing part or all of the work and/or scientific work of another party that is recognized as his scientific work, without stating the source properly and adequately.

For that, then

Articles must be original, unpublished, and not in the process of awaiting publication elsewhere. Material taken verbally from other sources needs to be clearly identified so that it is different from the original text.

If plagiarism is identified, then, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve the action according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Level of Plagiarism

1. Plagiarizing part of a short sentence from another article without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and cite correctly.

2. Plagiarizing most of another article without proper citation and without citing the source.

Action

The submitted article is rejected for publication in the SYNERGIE Journal and the Author may be sanctioned to not be allowed to publish in the SYNERGIE Journal.

All article authors are responsible for the content of the articles they submit because they all sign the SYNERGIE Journal Publication Ethics Statement Form / Letter of Originality. If the Article is classified as plagiarized, then all authors will be subject to the same action.

If the Author is proven to have submitted a manuscript to the SYNERGIE Journal. by simultaneously sending it to another Journal, and this overlap is found during the reviewer process or after publication, then action will be taken according to point 2 above.

If plagiarism is found outside the rules above, the SYNERGIE editor has the right to impose sanctions according to the editorial team's policy.
